Complete withdrawal from BT services.
A small design company had a domain, website & email hosted with BT as well as their phone services. They were paying over the odds for all of them, consequently, they wanted to extract themselves completely from BT. We moved the domain to another provider (goddady.co.uk) followed by the web and email hosting in one morning. The BT landline number was ported away from BT to voipfone.co.uk and all calls are now routed via their internet connection (gigaclear.com) via their old BT number whilst enjoying significant savings and far more features.

Branch office setup | VPN
A rapidly growing design agency needed to move a department into separate offices around the corner from Head Quarters. Dejac were able to arrange for a new phone line with broadband to be installed via zen.co.uk. We then re-commissioned the Macs at the new premises, their existing VoIP phones and installed two new printers. Finally, we created a site to site VPN between HQ and branch office so that resources on the HQ network (eg servers, large format printers etc) can be accessed securely by the branch office staff.

GDPR Compliance | UTM Firewall
Even though the May 2018 deadline to become GDPR compliant has passed, it is always a good idea to review your security practices regularly. A small design agency in South West London felt they needed to tighten their internet security. Dejac audited their network and current security policies and suggested that a UTM (Unified Threat Management) firewall would provide a significant, additional layer of protection. The device was installed and configured on-site in less than two hours. The client now has the satisfaction of knowing that every packet of data in and out of his entire network is inspected for the latest security threats.

Slow internet | You can’t beat “boots on the ground”
An artist from Oxford was having terrible problems with her email. On the face of it, it looked like possibly an incompetent email provider. As she was a new client via a referral, we always like to visit initially to familiarise ourselves with the setup. After over an hour grabbling with her email problem we observed regular disconnects and immediate re-connects on her broadband, so subtle that even she had not noticed them for the last few months. This instability was enough to cause her email problems and upon further inspection, we removed an old BT Openreach modem from her setup so the new BT Hub plugged directly into the wall socket. She is now enjoying a much quicker and more stable internet connection, with no email issues.
