broadband failover installation

We implemented a broadband failover installation to keep a clients internet data service up and running. This was the supply of a second (often cheaper) broadband line and a router that automatically kicked over to the cheaper line should the main data broadband line fail for whatever reason. This tries to ensure that their online connectivity was not disrupted by fluctuations in their broadband service. An email was automatically generated to the office administrator and us who could then address the problem with the master broadband line. This system worked so seamlessly that the client often didn't even know that had an issue with their master broadband line.
